FCRA-Compliant Legal Documents

Dispute Letters That
Bureaus Cannot Ignore

Each letter includes the Metro 2 field codes for the exact data point being disputed, FCRA section citations, and legal precedent from court cases. Not a form letter -- a legal document.

What Makes Our Letters Different

Metro 2 Field Codes

Every letter identifies the exact data field being disputed using Metro 2 format codes (BS-7, K1, etc.) -- the data standard bureaus and furnishers use. Generic letters skip this. Ours do not.

FCRA Legal Citations

Letters cite the exact FCRA sections that apply: §609 (method of verification), §611 (reinvestigation), §623 (furnisher responsibilities). Bureaus must respond to cited violations.

Case Law References

Key precedent cases are embedded: Richardson v. Fleet Bank, Henson v. CSC Credit Services, Bryant v. TRW, Johnson v. MBNA. These show the bureau this letter was written by someone who knows the law.

Round Escalation

If Round 1 comes back "verified," Round 2 escalates -- it demands the furnisher verification method under §611(a)(7) and includes a threat of civil action under §616. Most items are removed by Round 2.

Bureau-Specific Formatting

Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian each have different mailing addresses, dispute codes, and response expectations. Our letters are formatted and addressed correctly for each bureau.

Physical Mailing via Lob

For maximum legal standing, dispute letters can be mailed certified via our Lob API integration. Certified mail creates a paper trail that digital submissions do not.
